The Tropolitan is the student-run newspaper at Troy University. While the staff comes from many different majors – journalism to graphic arts and business to biology – the paper is supervised by the Hall School of Journalism and Communication. The Tropolitan publishes once a week, every Thursday, during fall and spring semesters and maintains the website TropNews.com year round. The newspaper covers breaking news, localizes national news stories, features arts and entertainment available on campus, and provides coverage of the campus and student body as a whole.
